(One ring to rule them all and in the darkess bind them)

Welcome to my home page. I am continuously adding things to this page so stay tuned for new items.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brad Broerman, and I work for Convergys Inc., in Cincinnati, Ohio as a software engineer. I have a BS in Computer Engineering from Wright State University , in Dayton, and I am a member of Triangle Fraternity , a social fraternity composed entirely of engineers, architects, and scientists. I am divorced, and have three boys, who live with me: a 13 year old son, a 11 year old son, and a 9 year old son. Here's an old family picture if you're interested... Anyway, I live in somewhat new house, in Eastgate (a suburb of Cincinnati, sort of) which I'm finally decorating, fixing problems left by the builders, and paying for the lazyness of myself and my ex in not taking care of the place... Here's a set of photo's detailing the construction... I started the photos a little late, as I used the proceeds from selling my old house to get the digital camera I used for most of these pictures! Oh, I'm also a veteran. I spent four years in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia aboard the USS Saginaw (LST-1188) . Funny, Most of the people I knew then would never have guessed this, but I really miss those times!

Currently, my hobbies include taking care of my kids, taking care of the house, going out with my girlfriend and her son, hiking, camping, or just lounging around watching a good movie. The whole family is interested in hiking and camping, and we are all involved in Scouting (Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts). This gives us many opportunities for camping! I am also into hobbies like building web pages in my copious spare time... if you get a chance, check out http://www.usssaginaw.org , or http://www.maplerunfarm.net/glass . The last site sells real hand-made stained glass windows, if you're so inclined... There will be a couple additional sites listed soon, as I am working on some really nice AJAX and DHTML sites.

Oh, for those wondering what to get me for special occations (hint to the family), here's a textbook wish list, courtesty of Amazon.com.

News:

6/14/2008   Well, it's over. The love of my life and I have split up. It kills me, but I guess it's for the best. We were too different, and we didn't really understand each other. I know I have problems. With everything in my past, I'm a little emotionally needy, impatient, and paranoid. She didn't understand me, didn't care enough to help, and eventually left as a result. I guess it proves that old adage that nothing good lasts, and you can't completely trust or believe in anyone but yourself. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother.
