: Does anybody have a "welcome aboard" pamphlet from around '72 or '73? I seem to remember that the 1188 is the third "Saginaw" in the fleet. The first was a side-wheel steamer lost off Hawaii in the 1870's the second is a geep carrier named the USS Saginaw Bay and #3 is 1188. Anybody else remember this? The ship's history section of the website indicates that 1188 is the second saginaw. Just a question. Ralph
Ralph, I have a lot of memories of thoes days but as I recall when I reported aboard in Feb. '74 they were not giving out anything like that.
