I remember all of those except the North Atlantic stuff. I came on board in 1989 after that one. I still keep in contact with one of the Scullery Brothers. Dennis(Archie) ANdrews. He and I were like brothers for that period of time. He came down here to LA a few weeks ago. He's now an SK1.
Does anyone remember Kessler pumping all of that fuel oil over the side inside of 5o miles when we were returning from the Gulf War? I believe Dave Gherkie taped it. I think we were all a little meek under Kessler's command. He was so tempermental and would go off on anyone at any given time. If I had a favorite Captain it would have to be Captain Howard. Has anyone heard from MS3 Dussenberry? How bout Mark Hern and Carl Lattimore.
